Who is Claudette Colvin? She did the same thing Rosa Parks did, but nine months earlier. Why have we not heard of her? Because the NAACP made Rosa Parks famous by taking her case. Why didn't the NAACP take Claudette Colvin case? It was politics all the way. Claudette Colvin was sentenced to probation for violating segregation laws and even had a hard time finding a job after her conviction. Claudette Colvin deserves to stand side-by-side with Rosa Parks and deserves an award for displaying the same bravery the famous Rosa Parks did. More to come...
